Emerson Supplier Performance Specialist -Project in MEXICALI, Mexico

Are you looking for a great opportunity in Aiken, South Carolina or Mexicali and Saltillo? Come join a great team of specialists at Emerson Discrete Automation. We are currently looking for a Supplier of Performance Specialist to join our team.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Supplier Performance Specialist, with an emphasis on project work. Reporting to the Manager of Supplier Performance, this role will work with the Supply Chain Team (Suppliers, Planning Team, Supplier Performance Specialists and Commodity Management) as well as the Manilla Analytics Team, Logistics, IT and other functional groups to implement key projects, achieve optimal supplier performance and to resolve issues as quickly as possible.

IN THIS ROLE, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:

  • Assist with the Site and/or Product Line transitions by:

  • Ensuring that data integrity is maintained

  • Ensuring that Project Timelines are met

  • Work with the Logistics, Manilla, and Supplier Performance Specialists to ensure that Processing, Transit and Total Lead Times are logical and accurate

  • Complete One-Off projects to improve overall Supplier Performance

  • Work on Supplier Performance Specialist functions:

  • Analyze on-time performance, quality ratings, participation in DPI programs, and days on hand in the Supply Chain

  • Work with suppliers to resolve delivery issues

  • Assists in the coordination of new supplier set-up

  • Assists in the Supplier Transition process

  • Assists in the right sizing of MOQs and Lot Sizes

  • Work with suppliers to resolve invoice discrepancies

  • Place purchase orders for production parts

WHO YOU ARE:

FOR THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED:

  • Bachelor's Degree and/or 5 years of relevant experience

  • The ability to learn new skills and apply those skills to solve problems

  • The ability to manage time and stay focused on the most critical tasks

  • The ability to drive tasks/projects through to completion

  • Excellent Communication Skills, both oral, written

  • The ability to recognize problem and attack the problem without direct guidance

  • MS Office knowledge

  • Legal Authorization to work in the United States – sponsorship will not be provided for this role

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS THAT SET YOU APART:

  • College Degree plus 5 years of relevant experience

  • APICS/CPIM Certification
