Do you enjoy being responsible for creating and maintaining databases with SolidWorks used for templates and configuration? Do you like using CAD to translate manufacturers hardware specifications in CNC programs? Do you like having a job whose duties are everchanging every day? Our South-Central Service Center is growing and we are currently adding a Customer Service Q.A. / Tech Support position to support our customer service department. This role will be based on-site out of our facility located in Mesquite, Texas.

What would you do in our Customer Service Q.A. / Tech Support role?

Working conjunction with our customer service team the person in this role will be responsible for the implementation and enhancement of standard and PDM Tree drawings as well as the continuous improvement of processor tools.

You would also:

  • Create, modify, standardize and maintain CAD drawing databases, as well as modify machine operating code interfaces between CAD drawings and machine language.

  • Research current hardware template information and translate the requirements into a standard automated process. Process includes but not limited to: Developing standard CAD components and Specify and assign nomenclature and programming instructions to allow dynamic ordering and placement of CAD components.

  • Implement a hardware template database in a centralized location. Research/Validate current hardware template information and revise the template into “user friendly” level 1 comprehension.

  • Collect and analyze data with various industrial instruments to troubleshoot problems as well as develop best process practices. Implements solutions to problems.

  • Provide technical and problem solving support to manufacturing, customers & inside sales. Work with shop engineers and staff. Explore opportunities to help optimize order management as well as manufacturing process flow and quality.

    Qualifications:

  • HS Diploma or GED, required.

  • Preferred undergraduate degree in engineering, business, information systems or related field and/or equivalent work experience

  • 2 years of experience utilizing standard drafting practices

  • Strong, functional understanding of order fulfilment in a custom, engineered to order business

  • General understanding of manufacturing operations
