Reporting to the Group Controller, you will be responsible for the day-to-day financial activities of Orora Visual (OV) Dallas, supporting the wider OV accounting team. This role is responsible for general financial accounting entries, regulatory and financial reporting as well as budget and forecast preparation. It will be key for you in this role to partner with finance, operational department leaders, and Client service team members to drive better results for the business and department via stronger and leaner processes.

Key Responsibilities

Group Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for completing bi-weekly OOP reimbursements.

  • Responsible for completing end of month credit card reconciliation, journal, and rebate entries.

  • Responsible for fixed asset spend review and reporting, depreciation journals and capitalization entries.

  • Complete intercompany recharges including freight, medical, and corporate recharges.

  • Support the monthly financial consolidation process for the OV Group.

  • Manage Inventory count process including raw materials, finished goods and Spare parts.

  • Manage the monthly inventory reconciliation process including GL tie out, FG valuation and turn report, Lower of Cost/market review and inventory reserves.

  • Manage Lease support and accounting.

  • Support the Group Controller in monthly group reporting including, Monthly ELT reporting, Safety reporting and MMR reporting.

  • Complete Use Tax and property tax entries and returns.

  • Complete monthly sales commission reconciliation and reporting.

  • Complete annual control self-assessments for controls assigned.

Dallas Responsibilities:

  • Analysis and preparation of financial statements, including profit and loss statement, balance sheets, cash flow statements and statements of financial position.

  • Review and analysis of job costs in conjunction with the Dallas operations team.

  • Management of the day-to-day financial activities in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.

  • Review of job costings.

  • Preparation of monthly journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.

  • Preparation of monthly reporting.

  • Preparation of monthly forecasting.

  • Preparation of local tax requirements.

  • Preparation on the annual budget.

  • Preparation of bi-annual statutory reporting requirements.

  • Financial analysis to support business decisions.

  • Performing ad hoc reporting and analysis and investigative issues.

  • Support the Dallas operations team.

General:

  • Be involved in continuous improvement of procedures and system enhancements to ensure best practice across the Orora Visual finance team.

  • Support and back up of accounting team members in regular tasks.

  • Engage with the Finance team and interact with members of the other Orora organizations in order to bring best practices and solutions to the Orora Visual organization.

  • Additional duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience in multi-site manufacturing environment

  • Advanced degree in Accounting

  • CPA or CMA certification strongly preferred

  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures (specifically US GAAP & IFRS)

  • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process

  • Excellent accounting software user and administration skills

  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills

  • Excellent Organizational skills, time management

  • Possess strong communication, numeric and interpersonal skills

Additional Required Qualifications:

  • EFI Monarch system knowledge desirable

  • Team oriented

  • Ability to take initiative and be proactive

  • A drive for results
