FCP Euro Assistant Operations Manager in Mesa, Arizona

Job Summary:

Under the direction of an Operations Manager, the Assistant Operations Manager role is responsible for leading and developing team leads and front-line team members to achieve business key performance indicators in the Distribution Center. They ensure a healthy and safe work environment, drive team performance, facilitate planning and communication, foster a positive team dynamic with open feedback channels, and adapt to evolving business needs while prioritizing customer and employee experience. The Assistant Operations Manager plays a crucial role in coordinating teams, executing the day-to-day tasks, mentoring, and training staff, executing team initiatives, and enhancing standard work methodologies across shifts.

Accountabilities:

Operational effectiveness- Achieves and maintains target Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for teams, including managing backlogs, WIP, quality, and lines per labor hour. Efficiently manages and optimizes team performance, accuracy, redundancies, schedules, and culture.

Team Management and Development- Mentor, train and develop leads and associates for career progression and learning. Builds a positive team dynamic that encourages all employees in the department to provide feedback and motivate change within the facility, adapt to the constantly evolving business, and stay focused on the customer experience.

Process Improvement- Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to safety, quality, cost, and delivery while growing and expanding capabilities within the Distribution Center.

Experience and Skill requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience leading front-line team members in an operational environment.    

  • Effective communicator and leader for employees, direct reports, cross-functional teams, and leadership.

  • Experience with driving quality initiatives and warehouse management systems

  • Proven track record to quickly adapt and drive the right results using data; metrics-driven mentality.

  • Must be flexible to work weekends OR nights.

  • Proficiency with Google Suite or MS Office tools.

  • Bachelors preferred.

Compensation 

This is an exempt salaried role with a base salary of $70,000 - $80,000 depending on experience, with a total compensation opportunity of $75,000 to $85,000 annually.
