Synchrony VP, Licensee Growth Leader - Ashley Furniture in MERRIAM, Kansas
The VP, Licensee Growth Leader will focus on the overall marketing strategy and development of initiatives to grow penetration at Ashley Furniture licensees. This leader will partner with the Sales Organization to enable and scale growth initiatives across multiple licensees, POS systems and sales cultures. This individual will develop relationships cross functionally at Synchrony as well as at numerous licensees. In addition, the Licensee Growth Leader will have ownership of Advantage+, a new program designed to provide additional value to exclusive partners.
This position is remote, where you have the option to work from home. On occasion we may request for you to commute to our nearest office for in person engagement activities such as team meetings, training and culture events. Lead the Ashley licensee marketing strategy; >100 licensees.
Partner with sales to identify segments to target for growth;test and implement marketing programs to grow these segments.
Drive ideation, development and implementation of comprehensive licensee marketing initiatives including driving incremental cardholder sales, increasing engagement leveraging contractual licensee marketing budgets.
Own the Advantage+ program – including but not limited to analysis, enhancement recommendations, communication, etc.
Identify and rollout potential Synchrony technologies to grow in-store acquisition including but not limited to Direct to device, new waterfall capabilities, prequal, etc.
Establish and develop key relationships at senior levels of licensee organizations.
Develop and implement strategies to help secure long-term engagement and contractual agreements.
Attend and present Synchrony marketing capabilities during business development meetings.
Create value among non-carveout licensees to avoid attrition and increase penetration.
Manage all contractual licensee marketing budgets.
Gathering/manage competitive intel – understanding the value prop of our competition.
Implement test and learn opportunities that drive new CH and repeat sales at the licensee level.
Lead Licensee Summit meetings – planning, agenda, logistics, etc
Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned
Bachelor's Degree or, in lieu of a degree, a high school diploma and 10 years of marketing experience in the credit card or financial services industries.
A minimum of 8 years of marketing experience to include:
5 years of demonstrated growth marketing leadership skills (analytic and creative) with significant exposure to consumer facing programs/products
2 years of experience with digital channels - online and mobile
Ability to travel as needed; 20%
5 years of product marketing experience to include a minimum of 5 years of client marketing management, development and/or marketing planning and execution
Marketing experience in the credit card or financial services industries.
Collaborative style and approach with comfort working in a matrixed, decentralized structure.
Outstanding communications, relationship building, influencing and collaboration skills.
Strong background working with clients, reporting on performance and delivering results.
Strategic thinking with ability to develop and implement actionable plans to drive business results.
Consumer finance experience and related industry experience. Familiarity with licensee model complexity.
Proven ability to partner and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
Demonstrated project management skills.
Advanced problem-solving skills with the ability to develop innovative solutions in a fast-changing environment.
P&L experience with solid understanding of business financials.
Advanced degree (MS, MBA

You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. The salary range for this position is 100,000.00 - 200,000.00 USD Annual
Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA and Metro NY and some positions are bonus eligible.
