This Position is for a CBA Aircraft Mechanic (Depot) Build with a company in Meridian.

 

Job Summary: Performs repair and replacement of Airframe and Power Plant systems components and accessories. All work is performed in accordance with applicable manufacturers' maintenance manuals, company directives, and other approved data. May be required to handle hazardous materials in the performance of assigned duties.

 

Duties And Responsibilities: Maintain assigned aircraft in accordance with Navy, Manufacturer, and Company Instructions. Use provided test equipment and Ground Support Equipment to perform assigned tasks. Read, interpret, and apply instructions from Blueprints, schematics, and other approved data. Assist with ordering parts, tools, materials, and equipment as required. Document work accomplished on Maintenance Action Forms (MAF)/OOMA. Maintain cleanliness of the work center and around your assigned work area. Responsible for adhering to all applicable Foreign Object Damage (FOD) prevention rules and regulations. Responsible for adhering to Company Tool Control Program. Must comply with established General and Industrial Safety Rules and Regulations as applicable to the contract, facilities, and job assignment. Ensure proper operation and use of special test equipment and Ground Support Equipment. Maintain appropriate records of all work accomplished. May be required to perform simple computer input functions. May be required to perform off-site service on assigned detachments. Perform corrosion control cleaning and removal as required utilizing appropriate safety precautions. Assist when directed to ensure safety, security, and preservation of Government-owned and Company-owned equipment. Perform other reasonably related incidental duties when directed within the job classification. 

 

Education and Qualifications: Must have a minimum of three (3) years documented hands-on general experience in this specific aircraft maintenance occupational field, or the military or commercial equivalent. Must be familiar with aircraft systems, tools, drawings, schematics, and normal safety requirements. Must be able to meet any Government/Company licensing/qualification requirements for the position. FAA A&P License is desired. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English. 

 

ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS: 4 years' experience in Unified Land Operations, Mobility and C-IED capabilities, and maneuver, Infantry and Engineer training. Extensive instructional and training background. Subject Matter Expertise on U.S. Military weapon systems, Infantry operations, maneuver, and operations. Instructional experience at Military Center of Excellence (COE) or Battalion level. Knowledge of all weapons systems in an Armored Brigade Combat Team (ABCT). Possess knowledge and technical expertise in the use of all Microsoft Office products, Microsoft Internet Explorer, and Adobe Acrobat products. Demonstrated skills in the principles and techniques of military instruction. Able to work closely with other team members, Customers, and End Users. Excellent time-management skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Must currently possess at a minimum an interim Secret security clearance and be able to obtain/maintain an active/valid US Secret security clearance. Ability to multi-task, and interface on a regular basis with military leaders, managers, and trainers. Self-starter with good organizational skills who can work both independently and as a member of an integrated team; excellent problem-solving skills. Ability to become an active and functioning member of a team. Ability to be innovative and be an agent for change. Expert communication skills to facilitate and disseminate information to a diverse group of customers. Must be willing to live and work in an austere desert environment. Must possess or be able to obtain and maintai a Common Access Card (CAC). Must have a valid driver's license, able to obtain a US Government Motor Vehicle Operator's License and Kuwait Driver's License. US citizenship is required as this position needs an active/current DOD Security Clearance as of day one of employment. Must possess a US Passport with at least 2 years of remaining eligibility. Meet medical requirements for position as determined by a pre-employment medical screening & published CRC and US CENTCOM medical deployment standards. Bachelor's degree in Training, Management, Business, or a related field from an accredited institution and four (4) years' work experience. Eight (8) years of additional equivalent work experience (12 total years) may be accepted in lieu of BA/BS education requirement.
