Position Summary The Senior Project Manager is an integral role within the Americas Healthcare business unit and will deploy technical project management methodologies and tools to implement process and systems improvements. These include software implementations/upgrades, operational efficiencies, and organizational changes. The Senior Project Manager has responsibility for managing and executing large cross-functional projects within the Americas Healthcare business unit. The position will work cross-functionally with groups such as Sales, Service, Marketing, Training, Finance, Operations, and IT with the objective of driving projects to completion, on time and at/under budget. Duties Responsible for managing project risks, dependencies, issues and communicating project status and progress to stakeholders Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including developers, testers, and business process owners, to ensure successful project execution Works with Senior Manager on establishing defined project management standards and best practices for supporting technical and Healthcare business unit projects Partners with senior level Healthcare leadership on projects including strategic alignment projects, systems creation/enhancements, and routine management Creates budget to support project through deliverable identification, resource allocation and cost estimation Manages and leads projects through all stages from initiation through closure Define, develop and implement specific improvement opportunities as they relate to the efficiency and profitability of the Americas Healthcare business unit Lead the planning, directing, coordinating and driving of multiple projects, varying in size and scope and recommend revisions in project work plans as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements Facilitates the definition of projects' scope, goals and deliverables throughout the initiation phase Manages multiple cross-functional projects using formal project management methodologies Coordinates intradepartmental projects and resources as required Maintains project plans that accurately reflect task owners, completed and future work including timelines, milestones and dependencies Identify and define resource requirements and assignments Manage all STERIS and non-STERIS resources assigned to the effort, including defining each team member's role and responsibility Effectively apply stage/gate methodology and enforce project standards Prepare and present reports defining project progress, problems and solutions Develop a project agenda and prioritize based on impact and timelines Drive project teams to make decisions, complete tasks, and execute the plan based on defined deliverables and timelines Develop scorecards and metrics for each initiative to track progress and share with leadership and team members Use Lean philosophies and methodology for process improvement Prepare, conduct and facilitate Kaizen events as needed Gather statistical data to support identified opportunities Measure implemented solutions Change Management Document new processes and procedures Implement process, technology or organizational changes based on determined solutions Prepare and deliver all communications related to the initiative Prepare comprehensive implementation plans Ensure a smooth transition from recommendation to implementation inclu
