Position Summary The Internal Audit Intern will be responsible for assisting in Internal Audit management in planning, organizing, and executing analytics related to internal audits throughout the Company (including but not limited to IT, financial, operational, compliance, quality and fraud). The role will assist in development of sustainable and repeatable data analytics processes to provide real time audit assurance to the business and improve audit efficiency. This position will assist in the development of analytics and strategy for the Internal Audit department and will collaborate with Internal Audit management and business functions within the organization to improve internal control, create efficiency, and add value to the business. The position will require learning to implement the analytics processes and tools. Duties Under the guidance and supervision of experienced STERIS Internal Auditors, duties and responsibilities include: *Reperform management's review over key transactions and periodic reports *Observe and reperform inventory counts at STERIS locations *Interface with STERIS management to follow up on questions arising from audit testing *Analyze audit evidence and prepare conclusions through workpapers for review by Internal Audit management *Address reviewer comments and questions arising from workpaper review Required Experience * Currently enrolled in a four-year undergraduate degree program or a master's program in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Internal Audit or Information Technology and completed sophomore year * Minimum of 20 hours/week availability * Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 * Strong communication skills (written and verbal) * Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word Knowledge, Skills and Experience * Commitment to integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality * Strong attention to detail * Quick learner * High energy * Resourcefulness * Team oriented * Analytical thinking * Organization and critical thinking skills Employees (and their families) may enroll in our company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, flexible spending, health savings account, voluntary benefits, supplemental life/AD&D plans and the company's 401k plan.
