University Hospitals Health System Equipment Specialist - ICU in Mentor, Ohio

Description Essential Functions Ensures storage room organization (labeling, signage) and in-house audits of equipment Reports/maintains logs /repairs broken & damaged equipment and ensures its cleanliness Gain knowledge about new equipment. Primary resource of equipment (loaner); maintains preventative maintenance schedules Anticipate first case equipment needs. Collaborate with education team on education of the equipment. Assists manager or director with daily activities, placing orders, repair turnaround time, acquiring quotes, special projects, and new employee training. Initiates and maintains positive relationships with patients and coworkers. Takes responsibility for self-development and supports a learning environment. Displays commitment to the mission of the hospital and its values while maintaining a strong work ethic The general responsibilities of the position include those listed below, but the department may identify other responsibilities of the position. These responsibilities may differ among location, depending on business necessities and client requirements. Performs Operating Room Assistant duties in an effective, efficient manner completing all steps in the documented process. Responsible for positive verbal and non-verbal interactions with patients, families, visitors and other employees. Provides assistance to these individuals as needed. Complies/performs with all company OSHA, safety and risk management policies and procedures. Reports all accidents and injuries in a timely manner. Attends and completes assigned training from University Hospitals May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned; provide coverage (Del) Required For All Jobs Performs other duties as assigned. Complies with all policies and standards. For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation. Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
