UW - STOUT Regional First-Year Admissions Counselor in MENOMONIE, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: JOB ID: 21728 JOB DETAILS: The University of Wisconsin-Stout is welcoming applications for a Regional Admissions Counselor (Twin Cities, Minnesota), which will report to the Senior Admissions Counselor in Menomonie, Wisconsin. This position plays a very important role in the recruitment and outreach activities of the Admissions Office in Minnesota. Our goal is to increase the number of applicants to the University of Wisconsin-Stout and enroll a talented and diverse student body. This staff member will meet with prospective students and their families, high school counselors, various groups on and off campus, alumni, and other contacts to promote educational opportunities offered at the University of Wisconsin-Stout. A significant part of the recruitment process will be establishing and nurturing relationships that can serve as a conduit for students to learn about UW-Stout. This staff member will collaborate with other Admissions Office staff members to coordinate recruitment activities. This is an off-campus position, and the incumbent will work from a home office. Candidates must currently live in or be willing to relocate to the Twin Cities area (Minneapolis/St. Paul metropolitan area), be able and willing to travel at least 50% time throughout the region, and be willing and able to work evenings and weekends as needed. This is a 12-month annual position. RESPONSIBILITIES: Counsels prospective and admitted students on educational planning and career opportunities Reviews, evaluates, and responds to student applications according to established policies and procedures Identifies opportunities for and develops admissions and outreach events Schedules logistics and secures resources for events to promote the Institution Evaluates program effectiveness and provides recommendations for improvement Creates targeted communication plans and materials based on established goals Delivers directed admissions program messaging to internal and external audiences Identifies, promotes, and maintains internal and external partnerships focusing on outreach, recruitment, and admission Engages in extensive outreach and recruitment events, representing the university to prospective students May supervise staff and/or lead a program area APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS Complete applications received by the end of the day on Thursday, April 10 are ensured full consideration.
