Job Overview
Hubbell is currently looking for a Manufacturing Technician who will be responsible for supporting production/operations at the Mayville, WI facility through a variety of engineering, quality and continuous improvement activities for the Utility Automation manufacturing location.
A Day In The Life
Provide support for production, quality and manufacturing engineering to sustain/improve production performance
Create standard work instructions and documentation for process and product changes as needed
Provide direct labor employees with technical support/training
Support Quality Control Planning, Product Testing, Part Inspections
Participate in the ISO 9001 certification process and maintaining the Quality Management System
Lead troubleshooting activities for process issues that arise
Support and participate in problem solving and troubleshooting activities for manufacturing.
Provide support for maintaining the corrective action process
Initiate continuous improvement activities
Participate in continuous improvement (kaizen) events
Support ergonomic changes in the manufacturing area
Process Engineering Change Orders
Work with Product Engineering in product changes
Ensure all products as-built meet the order specification before leaving the factory
What will help you thrive in this role?
Degree in a Technical area preferred; the right mix of manufacturing experience and mechanical aptitude will be considered.
5+ years of experience in a manufacturing/assembly environment
AutoCAD skills a plus
Working knowledge of ERP system (SAP) is a plus
Continuous Improvement mindset is critical
Familiarity with and/or working in an ISO environment is a plus
