DESCRIPTION:
The Scheduling Manager monitors activities regarding scheduling at construction job sites. This includes working to ensure construction is progressing as scheduled and contract specifications are adhered to and leading and directing the work of others. Demonstrate extensive knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the construction field. This position reports directly to the Director of Project Controls, Project Manager, Superintendent or any other assigned supervisors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead the scheduling function for the division to include supervision of project schedulers
Prepare and maintains schedules, develops and reviews project baselines, monitors and tracks reports
Support the projects in all other aspects of scheduling analysis and special studies
Prepare summary and detail level schedules
Develop full Critical Path Method (CPM) logic-generated baseline schedules for projects
Perform monthly progress updates and create target comparison and periodic look-ahead schedules. Monitor and track progress at detailed and summary level
Ensure strict adherence to ethics and compliance requirements at all times
Develop and periodically update cost and/or resource loaded schedules
Participate in BD and business unit marketing activities in the development and preparation of proposal presentations, including developing preliminary bar chart schedules and staffing charts
Provide support and training in the use of project and scheduling software to office and jobsite staff
Walks the job site and recognizes problems in the field that affect the schedule.
May supervise project schedulers
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management preferred but not required.
Ten (10) or more years of experience in the construction and or engineering sector.
Experienced in scheduling for construction projects using Primavera P6 software in the commercial general building sector.
Experienced in scheduling for projects in excess of $250K value
Experienced in development of resource and cost loaded baseline schedules
Capable of accurately estimating labor hours, activity durations and detailed cost breakdown of projects
Experienced in assessment of risk and performance of forensic delay analysis and time impact assessment in case of project delays and claims
Proficient in Microsoft Office platform
Occasional travel to projects sites is required
