AutoZone, Inc. Regional Engineering Manager in Memphis, Tennessee
Position Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Engineering Manager to lead a team of industrial engineers across multiple distribution centers. This role involves the development, maintenance, and improvement of our warehouse and labor management software, as well as strategic planning for future growth. You will be responsible for ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of our systems while managing and mentoring your team.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead a team of Engineers across multiple Distribution Centers.
• Ability to communicate effectively across the organization to include presentations, proposals, etc.
• Oversee the development and utilization of engineered standards and the DC Labor Management System.
• Oversee any investigative work as directed by leadership pertaining to the WMS or labor metrics system
• Partner with Regional DC Managers to develop strategy and initiatives to drive operational efficiencies
• Identify and develop solutions to inefficiencies in DC systems and operations to include working with outside vendors.
• Lead special projects to include feasibility analysis, financial modeling, RFPs, vendor selection to include successful implementation
• Up to 75% travel required
Supervisory Responsibilities
• Manage a team of industrial engineers across multiple distribution centers.
Skills and Abilities
• Proficient in all Microsoft Office software.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Confident with the ability to coach others and share knowledge.
• Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to work with people at all levels.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Working knowledge of AutoZone software improvements in DLX and WMS.

Requirements

• 7-10 years of experience in warehouse management systems, labor management systems, or related fields.
• Proven experience in managing and leading a team of engineers.
• Strong background in developing and implementing labor metrics and warehouse management systems.
