Singer Outside Sales in Memphis, Tennessee
Overview
The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities, maintaining relationships with existing clients, and achieving sales targets within a designated territory. This role requires a proactive approach, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of the food service industry.
Responsibilities
Responsible for establishing contact with existing customers, identifying new opportunities, and following up on potential leads
Play a key role in increasing income and revenue by managing and negotiating with clients, generating leads, qualifying prospects and managing sales of products and services
Evaluate customers skills and needs to build productive, long-lasting relationships
Utilize all available resources to contact prospective clients and attempt to turn those prospects into customers
Daily travel to visit new and existing customers
Provide customer support by responding to customer inquiries and requests
Partner with current customers to ascertain current needs and generate additional sales
Execute timely preparing of all expense reports, call reports and assigned projects
Research the commercial foodservice marketplace through published lists, local sources, or through independent research for potential business opportunities, and telemarking as needed
Maintain current knowledge of product and pricing on all inventory, and a design sense of how to create merchandising solutions that meet customer needs by utilizing current inventory
High quality organization skills focused on maintaining email databases and sales materials
Strong follow-up orientation to ensure successful implementation of the business initiatives
Work under time sensitive situations (time deadlines, delivery and pick-up schedules); able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Keep management and sales team members informed of all relevant activity
Ideal Candidate Will Possess the Following Skills and Abilities
High school diploma required
Computer proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher)
Strong administrative and organizational skills
Effective project management skills
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, energetic, personable, presentable, and articulate
Must have reliable transportation to travel to the surrounding areas, including but not limited to Hattiesburg, Laurel, Petal, and Ellisville
