Baptist Memorial Intermediate Information Technology Systems Generalist in Memphis, Tennessee

Overview

Summary

Manage and support multiple applications, systems, networks, and telecommunications activities. Assist Associate Generalists with troubleshooting and standard operating procedures. Oversee and assist with the organization's information systems, including programming, analysis, networking, data processing, and administration. Resolve technical issues, research and recommend technology solutions, and coordinate system priorities. Perform additional duties as required.

Responsibilities

  • Provides technical assistance to computer system users and mentors Associate Generalists with complex issues.

  • Solves problems dealing with a limited variety of concrete variables by interpreting written and verbal information and screen shots or other data supplied.

  • Maintains current knowledge of BMHCC and University information systems, software, networks and telecommunications technologies. This includes but is not limited to MS 365, Exam Soft, ATI testing, and voice. Oversee the implementation of software and patch updates.

  • Uses advanced tools, knowledge and experience to analyze, diagnose and resolve problems. Serve as the project lead in the development of comprehensive training materials to support faculty and staff during the implementation of new system software. Contribute to the ongoing evaluation and maintenance of existing support documentation.

  • Works with Corporate IT to maintain BaptistU tenant and University active directory environment.

  • Creates and maintains new employee accounts for Canvas, J1, Private Drive, and Web/video solutions following Standard Operating Process for each.

  • Maintain accurate inventory of Baptist University through Assyst database. Maintain logistics

spreadsheet of equipment to University and equipment returns. Maintain service level agreement through Assyst updates.

  • Completed assigned goals.

Requirements, Preferences and Experience

Education

 Desired: Greater than 5 years experience or educational equivalent of Bachelor's degree.
