The Compensation Analyst works with various business unites to assess job duties for classification and salary determination, and benchmark positions against market data to ensure competitive compensation. Key Responsibilities
Conduct interviews and surveys with individual contributors and managers to gather and document job, organizational, and occupational information, including duties, responsibilities, and required skills.
Assess job duties to determine classification as exempt or nonexempt and establish appropriate salary ranges.
Benchmark jobs against survey data and market intelligence to determine competitive compensation ranges.
Prepare and maintain job classifications and salary scales.
Conduct data and cost analyses for use in negotiations.
Research compensation and benefits in similar industries and recommend changes or updates to the company's existing benefits or policies.
Advise management on state and federal employment regulations, benefits and compensation policies, human resource procedures, and collective agreements.
Perform cost analyses for compensation and related programs.
Prepare and analyze changes in wages and salaries for pay policy compliance.
Contribute to the design, development, and implementation of compensation communication and training materials (e.g., incentive plan documentation, merit program communications, FLSA compliance training).
Education and Experience
Experience: 1-3+ years of relevant experience in the design, development, and administration of compensation programs, preferably in a large, multi-site global corporation.
Knowledgeable: You have knowledge and understanding of compensation programs and philosophies. Retail preferred within a large, multi-site global corporation.
Tech-Savvy: You're comfortable with MS Office programs, Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Your technical skills will help you analyze data and uncover insights.
Effective Communicator: Your ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, ensures that your findings and recommendations are clearly understood by all stakeholders.
Language: Bilingual (Spanish and/or Portuguese) considered a plus
