We are currently looking for a team leader to join at our Gourmet Foods plant, located in Dandenong South. Reporting to the Shift Lead, the Team Lead is

Lead is responsible for End to End Production of the nominated Production lines, leading driving and delivering the SQDCM (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Moral) agenda of the area. Highest priority of the role is the safety of the line team and the products produced. Furthermore, the effective usage of all resources (machines and materials).

The Team Lead builds the capability of Equipment owners/Core team members to deliver line targets and lead daily production meetings (DMS) and coaches the team members.

In this role, you will:

Safety

  • Addressing all safety related behaviours as required and report and investigate Donesafe Incident within 24-48 hours (depending on severity)

  • QRP conducted - finding and mitigating any seen risks in non-routine/high tasks

  • Safety abnormalities & hazards identified, solved or escalated with short term mitigation plan in place

  • Team compliance to safety standards – BOS, QRP, LOTO, EIP, Safety Maps and risk assessments etc

Quality

  • Adherence to GMP practices, including cleaning requirements (GMP line audits)

  • Identify Quality defects and complete checks (i.e., CCP, product spec, quality defects)

  • Participation in corrective actions, investigations, audits and HACCP verification

  • Quality issues escalated to the appropriate person within required timeframes by using QIR tool

  • Team compliance to quality standards and daily reporting on quality KPI’s

  • Adhere and establish 5S standards and ensure tracking per shift

  • Always ensure correct traceability

Delivery

  • Compliance with Standard Operating Procedures

  • CIL and CL standards and tracking

  • Production issues escalated to the appropriate person within required timeframes.

  • Changeover plans and routines adhered to

  • Timely and accurate payroll data entered into Deputy

  • RCA/12 steps completion/contribution

Cost:

  • GE performance and lead and participate in small group activities

  • Understand and eliminate all kind of line losses

  • Responsible for accurate issuing of material and follow up on variances

  • Effective OT and roster management

  • Labour effectively managed to meet budget requirements

  • Proper tracking and use of rework and stockfeed

Morale:

  • One Point Lesson completed and shared

  • Quarterly IDPs completed

  • Early intervention of performance management (verbal) and documentation of repeated performance management issues

  • Issues are escalated in accordance with relevant procedure

  • Training of team e.g. compliance, machine operation, scan to consume, etc.

  • Absenteeism management

  • Kaizen/Improvement idea culture as well as reapplication to other areas

  • Demonstration of high capability of the Learn - Do - Teach approach

You bring:

  • Safe working environment knowledge & Food Manufacturing knowledge

  • HACCP/GMP and strong quality concepts

  • Safety tools (BOS, QRP, Safety/EIP Maps)

  • GMP and food hygiene standards

  • Proficiency in Downtime reporting, Net Weight Control, Quality Suite, EQCMS & solve safety incident report

  • Proficiency in SAP, including ability to order materials, back flush, enter labour, maintenance requests – work orders and notifications, safety requirements

  • Competence in MS Office & Competent in MRS/SLX entry and reporting
