The Opportunity

KBR leads the delivery of a range of important collaborative long terms programs and projects across Australia. Concurrently we pursue new opportunities that will bring great benefits our client’s customers and the broader Australian economy. In support of our commitment to deliver projects with collaboration, discipline, and professionalism, we are seeking the services of a motivated Senior Estimator with conceptual and delivery experience to share our journey .

We are working with a key water utility in the detailed design of water infrastructure and wastewater treatment facilities . Working within a collaborative team of Engineers , Capital Estimators, Analysts and Program Intelligence professionals you will use your existing skill set providing critical services to this key water client across the project lifecycle.

There is a pipeline of construction projects underway spanning several years, this is a great opportunity for a well-rounded Senior E stimator to join our expanding team.

Who are you?

The ideal candidate for this role will have experience in conceptual and detailed estimating , preferably within water, p ipeline or treatment plants . Oil and gas pipelines will also be considered . The project is in pre -construct phase so experience in this area would also be valuable.

Other k ey skills and experience include:

  • Autonomously develop conceptual estimates from engineering material (AACE Class5, 4 and 3)

  • Provide leadership to more junior estimators

  • Coordinate activities between clients and other stakeholders on the project

  • Learn how KBR undertakes cost assurance and effectively work within any assurance framework as an agent for the client

  • Assist or lead development of estimating and assurance frameworks, guidelines, etc

  • Work alongside the client and other JV partners to troubleshoot and problem solve existing business processes that can be addressed through KBR’s experience.
