The role:

The New Zealand Sales Account Manager is responsible for selling Sensitech's integrated information management systems, real-time IoT cargo monitoring, and traditional temperature monitoring devices, which provide customized in-transit solutions and programs for the New Zealand food supply chain market.

As the Sales Account Manager, you will be responsible for retaining the current allocated customer base and generating new business by employing a goal-oriented strategy and execution to increase sales productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a solid understanding of the customer's temperature-sensitive applications, supply chain operations, requirements, and challenges.

  • Participate in prospective customer projects and develop a professional relationship to understand the customer needs and suggest products and services that meet the customer needs.

  • Identifying and prospecting new large domestic customers in New Zealand’s food supply chain market

  • Aid in business development activities for account management teams within defined customer segments to support the business strategy

  • Review bid opportunities, participate in the preparation of bid responses and negotiate with potential customers.

  • Participate in developing new customer contact leads for the sales business development team.

  • Please quickly identify prospective target accounts and present them to the sales business development team.

  • I'd like for you to maintain personal customer relationships with prospective accounts to influence opportunities.

  • Attend trade shows at times to increase the visibility of the organisation

  • Prepare workshops for customers.

  • Manage the sales cycle and maintain an accurate record of activities in Salesforce.

Requirements:

  • A self-starter with a proven record of sales success

  • Ten-fifteen years' preferred experience selling food supply chain solutions or real-time IoT services to the food Logistics/distribution or Supermarket sectors

  • Knowledge of the New Zealand food safety standards and cold chain compliance is strongly preferred.

  • Capable of presenting and demonstrating the advantages of Sensitech temperature-sensitive products and real-time IoT-integrated data solutions

  • Can deliver customised solutions-based presentations and product demonstrations to current customers and new business opportunities.

  • Extensive travel inside New Zealand, accounting for up to 60% of the time
