Anticipated initial assignment is Orleans Career and Technical Education Center, Medina, NY. The individual will provide instruction to high school juniors and seniors enrolled in BOCES programs in the welding field. The individual will be responsible for planning, implementing, and facilitating all instructional requirements in the areas of welding. The candidate will be required to cover the entire curriculum, including integrated mathematics, English, and science. Practical experience in the welding industry is required. A Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) and/or Certified Welding Educator (CWE) is preferred. Experience with real life welding applications as well as working with high school age students are desired. The individual must have or be eligible for appropriate teaching certification upon hire. It is anticipated that an individual with industry experience would qualify for certification with successful completion of three workshops and an examination (if applicable). Regular attendance and dependability are required. Other responsibilities may be assigned. Assignment is subject to change.

Salary shall depend on qualifications and experience. For a candidate without permanent or professional teaching certification, the estimated (ten-month basis) annual salary range is $41,500 to $54,500. For a candidate with permanent or professional teaching certification, the estimated (ten-month basis) annual salary range is $46,500 to $64,500.
