Anticipated initial assignment is Niagara Academy, Sanborn, NY. The individual will provide physical education to middle and high school students in self-contained 6:1:1 and alternative 12:1:1 classrooms. The individual must have knowledge regarding or experience with students with significant emotional and behavioral disabilities, including cognitive delays and multiple disabilities. Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) training, an understanding of autism, and best practices in working with students with disabilities, are preferred. Strong behavior management skills, leadership skills, and the ability to modify curriculum to meet students' needs, are required. The individual must be a team player and work collaboratively with support staff. The individual must have or be eligible for physical education certification upon hire. Regular attendance and dependability are required. Other responsibilities may be assigned. Assignment is subject to change.

Salary shall depend on qualifications and experience. For a candidate without permanent or professional teaching certification, the estimated (ten-month basis) annual salary range is $41,500 to $74,000. For a candidate with permanent or professional teaching certification, the estimated (ten-month basis) annual salary range is $46,500 to $94,205. The foregoing range is pursuant to contractual salary schedules. The offered salary will be dependent upon the candidate's qualifications and experience.
