DeCrescente Distributing Company Space Management Specialist in Mechanicville, New York


  • Associate’s Degree in Business Management, Marketing, Sales or similar field plus related experience, or in the alternative, High School diploma

  • 3 years of sales experience, preferably in the beverage industry

  • Must have high level of computer proficiency, analytical skills and the application of technology-based selling tools such as Space Management Software

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel including the ability to perform advanced functions, create pivot tables and utilize macros to simplify analytical projects

  • Good communication and presentation skills

  • Strong organizational ability

  • Ability to implement and follow through on all initiatives

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities at the same time

  • Ability to evaluate problems and complete tasks in the committed timeframe

  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

  • The Space Management Specialist provides “best in class” space management services and category support in the development of space-planning schematics.

  • This position leverages consumer insights and information provided through internal and external data sources, and retailer proprietary information.

  • This position provides analysis and analytical reporting to influence category perception, importance, and retailer-specific category growth opportunities.

  • The Space Management Specialist will establish DDC as the space management expert, delivering profitable share growth for DDC and its retailers.

  • The Space Management Specialist develops and updates schematics that support DDC’s direction, aligning with retailer goals for chain and independent accounts.

  • This position will provide monthly results and insights on space management criteria including sales, shelf integrity, number of updates and other identified criteria.

  • This position will also attend all Chain specific functions, providing positive exposure as a representative of all DDC brands, supporting community involvement, quality, service and support.
