    Overview of the Role:

    Logistics Coordinator is responsible for order management, and distribution center traffic coordination, to ensure accurate, and timely shipping. Logistics Coordinator supports administrative responsibilities for the distribution center and is responsible for communicating with carriers, and site leadership about order fulfillment in coordination with inbound and outbound. The logistics coordinator is the central point of contact at the distribution sites.

    Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

    Order Management:

  • Print, route, monitor, and confirm orders throughout the day .

  • Maintain current knowledge of customer's TMS, confirmation deadlines and shipping requirements.

  • Accurately confirm PO shipment details in customer's TMS in timely manner.

  • Monitors collect customer's TMS for routing and shipping instructions.

  • Ensure shipments are scheduled with carrier for on time shipping.

  • Review order details such as shipping information or inventory issues.

  • Coordinate with leads and order processors to verify that shipments are meeting customer requirements and Woodstream's expectations.

  • Update order's shipping information such as load and PRO numbers, CTags, requested ship dates and other miscellaneous information as required or needed.

  • Monitor status of orders to confirm that are progressing as needed for on time shipping.

  • Proactively identify shipping problems by using the EWM order dashboard and swiftly implement the appropriate solution

  • Track and correct shipping errors.

  • Acquire and maintain Microsoft software capabilities: Word, Power point, Excel, and Access.

    DC Traffic Coordination:

  • Obtain and verify load information, prepare required shipping documents, communicate with floor leadership, provide door assignments, and update schedules as drivers arrive and depart.

  • Constant monitoring of Drivers’ Window to keep carrier traffic moving throughout the day to avoid congestion and delays.

  • Obtain and verify shipment details from driver to identify each shipment.

  • Confirm driver's log has been completed in full.

  • Verify and break seals on inbound loads.

  • Provide clear instructions and door assignment to driver.

  • Promptly notify floor leadership of carrier arrivals and door assignment

  • Prepare BOLS as required for each shipment.

  • Apply seals, when necessary, to outbound loads.

  • Update load status board as shipments are completed and schedules as drivers arrive and depart.

  • Validate outbound shipments immediately after departure.

  • Regular attendance and punctuality required

    OTHER FUNCTIONS:

  • Performs other duties as assigned

    Successful Candidate Profile:

  • High School Diploma/GED required

  • Associate Degree preferred

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint

  • Experience with SAP and EWM preferred

  • Prior logistics experience preferred
