Steampunk System (Solutions) Architect in McLean, Virginia
Overview
Our Technology Solutions division is searching for a Systems (Solutions) Architect to support a government customer. The primary responsibilities for the position are Provide end to end data management solutions including data profiling, data integration, data quality management and standardization, data validation and data processing.
Contributions
Responsibilities:
Develop,testand deploy comprehensive data integrationsolutions forstructured and semi-structured data sets (i.e.XML).
Develop address matching / standardization and data quality solutions for multiple data sources for the division.
Architect the data warehouse solution including data staging, data modeling, star schema design and database layout.
Works directly with other systems administrators & engineers supporting all infrastructure, creates Network and System designs asrequired.
Works with IT Change Request process to ensure all changes are tracked and performed correctly.
Assistswith efforts to manage andmaintainBackup and Recovery strategy.
Assistswith the development and revision of IT Standard Operating Procedures and in creation of project plans,time lines, and budgets forprojectsas necessary.
Maintainsandenhancecurrent infrastructuresystems, andproposenew methods for managing andoptimizingthese systems, ensures system monitors and alerts are properly defined for all infrastructure systems.
Participatesin disaster recovery planning and testing, proactivelyseeksto prevent problems or issues from arising by working with either in house staff orthird partyvendor.
Possibly performs after hours support duties asrequiredto sustain networking systems and service levels.
Qualifications
Required:
Ability to obtain a U.S. governmentPublicTrust Clearance
ABachelor's Degree
Minimum of8years of experience
Experience providing solutions to government customers in either the Fed/Civ or DoD space.
Experience with advanced IT technologies:
Cloud Computing (Private, Public, and Hybrid)virtualization
Software defined networking
Software defined datacenters
Service-Oriented Architectures
Datacenter architectures, or web services
Knowledge of the cloud computing industry, including key technologies, vendors, and trends.
Excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills at both the engineering and senior executive levels.
Experience with cloud services such as AWS or Microsoft Azure.
