PenFed is hiring a (Hybrid) Sr Manager, Consumer Banking Business Intelligence at our Tysons, Virginia location. The primary purpose of this role is to optimize the Data driven decision making capabilities in the Consumer Banking area by defining processes and strategies that use data driven analytics across all Consumer Banking products. This includes working across business units including product, fraud, legal, and compliance. This individual will work with business unit leads and stakeholders in identifying their data analytics and BI needs, provide pipeline management, assist in prioritization and reallocation of staffing, and address backlogs in the process. The individual will also identify, mitigate, and resolve gaps or inefficiencies in each business unit related to consumer banking using analytics and investigation.

Perform data driven analytics spanning all products of Consumer Banking Organization across multiple platforms.
Provide pipeline management, assist in prioritization and reallocation of staffing, and create action plans to address backlog when applicable.
Collaborate with the Director of Consumer Banking BI, and various Consumer Banking business leads to establish Data driven solutions that assist in achieving their SLAs, and targets based off budget forecasts.
Work with internal and external business and data teams to ensure consistent and accurate reporting, identify gaps using analytics and investigation, while minimizing redundancy.
Analyze data gathered from multiple sources to reconcile differences. Apply a consistent approach to data interpretation and performance measurement results.
As the Data steward, work with the Enterprise Data Delivery team to implement the established data governance for the Consumer Banking LOB.
Interpret analytic findings and formulate recommendations to share with key decision makers.
Design, maintain, and document dashboards, reports, and benchmarks to alert business units to monitor business status and fluctuations.
Coordinate with multiple, geographically dispersed teams to support the consumer BI functions across the organization.
Establish an Agile way of working, tracking work items through JIRA or a similar tool and be an active participant in scrum or similar methods.
Collaborate with departmental management staff in the development and support of corporate and business unit-level objectives, with the goal to meet and exceed those goals.
Recruit, Manage and develop Tech leads, analyst level team members. Day to day management of priorities, assigned tasks and deliverables of team.
Assess the training and development needs of staff, instrumental in the development, recommendation, and implementation of programs that will increase job enrichment, employee satisfaction, increase efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness.
Drive staffing levels and budgets across multiple cost centers and locations based on forecasted goals.
Provide input in the preparation of budget and participate in the review of vendor contracts as required.
Remain current on all changes to regulations and the systems, ensuring the timely implementation of all revisions.
Qualifications
An equivalent combination of education and experience is considered.
Bachelor’s degree in economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Engineering, Computer Sciences, or a related field is required. Master’s Degree in a quantitative or a related field is highly preferred.
Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in areas related to Data analysis and related areas, including trend analysis, extracting actionable insights and supporting decision making with data.
Minimum of two (2) years of direct management experience required.
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a field related to Consumer Banking products including auto loans (both direct and indirect), personal loans, student loans, and credit cards required.
Extensive and proven Data, Analytical skills required.
Hands-on skills in SQL and working with large datasets is required.
Experience with R, Python, Snowflake will be a plus.
Expert in resolving conflicting requests and meeting changing requirements.
Expert in presenting findings, conclusions, alternatives, and information clearly and concisely.
Extensive experience in demonstrating thought-leadership, initiative-taking, decision-making and creativity solving business problems.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position will supervise employees.

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to an indoor office setting with moderate noise.
Most roles require working in an office setting with moderate noise and the ability to lift 25 pounds.
Travel
The ability to travel to various worksites and be on-call is required.
