Department Summary:

MITRE's IRS & Tax Administration Division is committed to serving as the thought leader and trusted advisor with our IRS sponsor as they engage in modernization and transformation activities, spanning people, processes, technology, and data. The Program Support Organization (PSO) is tasked with onboarding the staff needed to support these needs. The PSO is looking for a Program Management Analyst to join their team. As a key member of our team, you will work with people across the Division and in the IRS to facilitate Suitability, Training, Assets requests and much more in support of the Division.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Initiate and support employee suitability activity in conjunction with adherence to sponsor security requirements and the proper maintenance of property.

  • Act as liaison between MITRE and IRS partners building the network and partnerships to ensure processes work efficiently and effectively.

  • Provide information research and awareness services for the department as a whole and for each project as needed.

  • Maintain thorough understanding of multiple task orders and manage task order lifecycle, working with the Technical Leaders and program, project, Division, and Department Managers.

  • Establish and improve communications and facilitate effective interaction with Sponsor, Corporate, Division and Project stakeholders under the direction of Program Support Office Manager, Department Managers and Project Leaders.

  • Develop, maintain, and promote knowledge management tools, including use of MS Teams, MS Excel, SharePoint, and Project Pages.

  • Recommend and implement a performance management process for the program that includes budget, delivery, schedule monitoring and analysis.

  • Provide direct technical support to project teams in the execution of contractual requirements.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree with relevant experience who can immediately contribute at this job step; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.

  • Strong interpersonal, written, visual, and verbal communication skills.

  • High level of poise, initiative, tact, professionalism, and diplomacy in working closely, often under time constraints, with a diverse group of IRS and MITRE partners, customers, managers, and support personnel.

  • Exceptional Microsoft Office Suite skills to include Word, Excel, SharePoint, Teams.

  • Must effectively apply strong self-organization, attention to detail, and time management skills, with considerable emphasis on self-initiation, independent decision making, accuracy and follow through on a broad range of tasks.

  • Ability to operate and team with MITRE management, staff, and customers.

  • Applicants selected for this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to sensitive information.

  • This position requires a minimum of 50% hybrid on-site.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated analytical problem-solving, both quantitative and qualitative.

  • Experience with program or project management.

  • Experience managing work pipelines.
