Job Description:

We are seeking a talented and motivated Network Engineer to join our IT team and contribute to the design, implementation, and maintenance of our customer's network infrastructure. As a Network Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the stability, security, and performance of our network, while providing technical support to resolve network-related issues. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement network solutions that align with business requirements and industry best practices. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of networking technologies, strong problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to delivering reliable and efficient network services.

Offer is contingent on completion of contract modification.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design, configuration, and implementation of the organization's network infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with IT teams and business units to gather network requirements and provide technical expertise for network-related projects.
  • Install, configure, and maintain network equipment, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
  • Monitor network performance and proactively identify and resolve potential issues to ensure optimal network availability and performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network-related incidents and service requests in a timely manner.
  • Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
  • Perform network upgrades and capacity planning to accommodate future growth and changes in network traffic.
  • Document network configurations, changes, and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Stay informed about the latest networking technologies and industry trends to recommend improvements and enhancements.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Network Engineer or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of network protocols and technologies.
  • Solid knowledge of routing and switching protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP, VLANs) and network security concepts.
  • Hands-on experience with network equipment from vendors like Cisco, Juniper, or Aruba.
  • Familiarity with network monitoring tools for performance analysis and troubleshooting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
  • Experience with cloud networking and SDN technologies is a plus.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications such as CCNA or CCNP are a plus.
  • Must possess minimum of 8 years of experience

Requirements:

  • U.S Citizenship is required.
  • Candidate must be able to obtain Public Trust clearance.
  • This position is currently hybrid (on-site/remote). Candidate will be required to work on-site at minimum, three days a week.
