PenFed is hiring a (Hybrid) Senior Card Acquisition Strategy Manager at our Tysons, Virginia location. The primary purpose of this job is to help drive card acquisitions strategy, in support of effective portfolio growth, engagement, and profitability. The incumbent will coordinate across stakeholders including Marketing, Decision Science/Analytics, Credit, Operations, Legal, Compliance, and external partners. This position requires experience in the credit card/payments industry, plus a strategic and analytical background, which brings problem solving skills and broad innovative thinking to provide key insights directed at profitable credit card portfolio expansion and profitability

  • Manage card acquisitions strategies and marketing effectiveness across Digital, Direct Marketing, Financial Center and Call Center channels.

  • Lead targeting and offer strategies to drive successful marketing campaigns, sustained account growth, and profitable account performance.

  • Partner with Marketing and Analytics teams to create test & learn strategies and acquisition program measurement and assessment.

  • Engage with Credit to help support optimization of card credit policy for acquisitions, for both targeted and untargeted prospects.

  • Manage comprehensive market intelligence/benchmarking/insights and attain competitive landscape expertise, with respect to consumer credit card products’ market offerings and value propositions. Maintain industry documentation, analysis, and competitive reporting.

  • Work with Marketing, Decision Science/Analytics, Risk, Member Services, Operations, IT, Legal, Compliance, and external agencies, partners, vendors, and service providers.

Qualifications

Equivalent combination of education and experience is considered.

  • Bachelor’s degree in economics, Business Administration, Marketing, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or a related field is required. Master’s Degree is preferred.

  • Minimum of ten (10) years of working experience in credit card or related industry is required.

  • Minimum of two (2) years of working experience relating to credit card marketing, analytics, market research, or credit risk portfolio management are required. Such experience includes but is not limited to marketing analytics, portfolio performance, new product development, existing customer management, credit risk analysis, and industry/competitive benchmarking within a financial services environment.

  • Experience with the credit card industry, competitive products, and card offers across digital and other channels.

  • Understanding of the credit card P&L and financial drivers

  • Proven project management and executive presentation skills are required.

  • Experience in SQL, Tableau, Excel, and proficiency working with large datasets preferred.

  • Knowledge of statistical analysis, including A/B testing, linear regression, and time series forecasting are preferred.

  • Strong communication skills.

Supervisory Responsibility

This positon will not directly supervise employees.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to an indoor office setting with moderate noise.

Most roles require working in an office setting with moderate noise and the ability to lift 25 pounds.

Travel

Ability to travel to various worksites and be on-call may be required.
