Job Role

Guidehouse is actively seeking a seasoned, dynamic Brand and Creative Operations Director to join the corporate Marketing Team. This role reports to the CMO and will function as the primarily leader to manage the internal digital and graphic designers, executive stakeholders and external agencies responsible for executing and delivering approved corporate creative, advertising and brand requests. The ideal candidate has proven success working with executive leaders and marketing peers at all levels to effectively manage multiple requests to meet the pace of the business and steward the Guidehouse brand. This leader also is experienced in the design tools, emerging trends and workflow technologies needed to power the creative department, deliver team efficiencies and quality deliverables on time. The role requires a team-member with effective communications and presentation skills, strong strategic and creative problem-solving skills, and a passion for brand governance, process and creative quality.

What You Will Do :

  • Mentor and manage the creative team and department including all graphic and digital designers.

  • Regularly manage and interface with any external brand and creative agencies

  • Regularly interface and collaborate with SE and PDC leaders for brand continuity across all external deliverables.

  • Team with internal stakeholders, executives, functional and segment marketing leaders on creative project requests to manage creative team workflow, resourcing and related budget management.

  • Lead design strategy and visual concepts for a variety of needs, assessing whether internal or external creative resources are best suited for each project. This includes partnering with marketing managers to ensure timelines and deadlines are met.

  • Collaborate closely with the Brand strategy partners to create frameworks for design, rooted in brand architecture, to allow for a consistent brand experience for our clients.

  • Brand Stewardship & Management: You’ll provide strategic design expertise and guidance to ongoing global cross-functional partners regarding the visual brand system and architecture. Balancing the nuanced needs of visual system integrity with supporting various of business needs and stakeholders

  • Maintain consistency and ensure production quality by creating templates, guidelines, and additional support materials.

  • Support and manage the Brand and Creative resources available to the firm on the company intranet.

  • Provide clear and concise strategic design feedback internally and externally on both projects leading as well as design guidance on shared internal initiatives with the broader design team

  • Expertise in Brand Architecture and how it relates visually to various departments.

  • Be a champion for creative problem solving through collaboration, team management in alignment to our RIISE values, and an effective and inspiring communicator across all levels of internal and external stakeholders and partners to steward the Guidehouse brand and excel.

What You Will Need :

  • Bachelor’s Degree; Four (4) years additional professional experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.

  • Twelve (12) + years of professional experience in Client Services, Sales or related areas.

  • Experience with complex global design systems and their workstreams, including multiple physical and digital media, light to heavyweight executions, local cultural environments, and partnerships with agency partners.

  • Proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. Working knowledge of After Effects is a plus.

  • Advanced knowledge of PowerPoint to create/update presentations.

  • Knowledge of Marketing campaign, production, and conception workflows across print, digital, and physical activations from conception through final asset or toolkit execution.

  • Ability to work independently to see projects through, managing and aiding designers and creative partners, pulling in the right stakeholders during socialization, while managing stress and adversity in a positive, constructive manner.

  • Ability to manage the bandwidth of internal and external partners, assigning projects based on bandwidth, and always ensuring deadlines are met.

  • Easily builds rapport with business leaders around the company to earn trust and ensure optimal outcomes and partnerships with the brand design team.
