ABOUT THE CALL CENTER SCHEDULER 

Upperline Health is looking for a professional and engaging Call Center Scheduler to answer a high volume of incoming phone calls and schedule new & existing appointments for all Upperline Health clinic locations.  

This position is based remotely near McAllen, TX. 

WHAT YOU’LL DO 

  • Answer, orient, and greet patients over the phone in an enthusiastic manner - 100% of work time spent is answering calls and scheduling appointments 

  • Determine appropriate clinic location and schedule patients into Vision system accordingly 

  • Obtain required demographic, insurance, and eligibility information and accurately document in Vision system to ensure proper filing of claims  

  • Verify if the patient’s insurance requires a pre-certification and begin the referral process 

  • Maintain professional working relationship with all contacts, both internal and external 

  • Provide timely responses to all verbal and written inquiries regarding patient accounts 

  • Respond to voicemails and online requests within 1 hour of the patients’ messages  

  • Exhibit a patient demeanor and strong customer service attitude at all times 

QUALIFICATIONS OF THE CALL CENTER SCHEDULER 

  • Spanish speaking is REQUIRED

  • High School graduate and formal training from a vocational school or equivalent 

  • 1+ years’ experience in a similar call center or centralized scheduling setting 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 

  • Ability to multi-task and work under deadlines with urgency  

  • Knowledge of general medical terminology and managed care functions 

  • Working knowledge of electronic health records (EHR), Vision system, & MS Office (word, outlook, teams 

COMPENSATION 

Compensation is commensurate to compensation for similar positions in the region and based on prior training and experience
