As a Pharmacy Technician, you play an essential role in keeping patients safe and comfortable throughout their experience. A caregiver in this position seven days on/seven days off from 7:00AM - 3:30PM or 3:00PM - 11:30PM, with holiday and every other weekend requirements.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Provide distributive pharmacy services, assistance and support for the Registered Pharmacist.
Refill and maintain automated dispensing systems.
Fill medications carts daily.
Prepare orders and maintain inventory for the pharmacy department.
Repackage bulk medications.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
High School Diploma or GED.
Upon hire, must be a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or National HealthCareer Association (NHA).
Upon hire, it is required to hold an active registration through the Ohio Board of Pharmacy (OBOP) as either a Certified Pharmacy Technician, Registered Pharmacy Technician, or Pharmacy Technician Trainee.
Caregivers with active Pharmacy Technician Trainee or Registered Pharmacy Technician registrations are required to update their registration to a Certified Pharmacy Technician registration with the OBOP within 6 months.
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Completion of a formal Pharmacy Technician Training Program
Six months of hospital experience
