Senior Wealth Management Advisor & Financial Planner, Full-time (Maumee/Toledo, OH) -

Job Summary -

Responsible for the complete administration and financial planning of relationships that include personal trust accounts, agencies, and IRA. Represents the bank in contacts with customers, attorneys, beneficiaries and CPAs. Oversee the administration of the assigned personal accounts and complete the responsibilities, duties, and terms of the governing trust document.

Essential Job Duties -

  • Maintain primary administrative responsibilities and financial planning for an assigned group of accounts that include personal trust accounts, agencies, and IRA. Complete the responsibilities, duties, and terms of the governing trust document.

  • Monitor account activity ensuring compliance with established policies and regulations.

  • Contact, advise, and resolve more complicated problems with clients, beneficiaries, portfolio managers, and CPAs.

  • Manage the preparation for client meetings and follow up on actions needed to implement the wealth plan.

  • Establish new advisory accounts and facilitate asset transfers.

  • Provide estate planning, tax planning and gifting strategies.

  • Research wealth management issues in response to client questions.

  • Identify client needs and make referrals to other bank products.

  • Assist in mitigating and managing the bank's risk inside assigned book of business.

  • Actively participate and engage in policy, procedure, and practice discussions.

  • Cultivate and develop new business opportunities.

  • Develop client relationships including ongoing regular client contact and communications.

  • Review plan documents for new relationships.

  • Interact with attorneys and CPAs in matters relating to drafts of estate planning documents, as well as tax issues.

  • Establish and maintain an active relationship with attorneys and CPAs.

  • Monitor discretionary distribution requests in accordance with legal documents.

  • Review monthly fees for accuracy.

  • Develop new business and confer with potential clients within the current book of business.

  • Participates in business development activities including outside calls, presentations to boards or other groups, attending commercial and retail meetings and support branch needs.

Requirements -

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • CFP/CFA, Juris Doctorate, CPA designation, Trust certification or equivalent certification or licensing

  • 5+ years of financial advisory service experience

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products: Excel, Word, Outlook

  • Prior tax preparation experience preferred

  • Previous client service experience required

  • Self-motivated, highly driven, and entrepreneurial individual

  • Possess active listening and critical thinking skills

  • Team player with strong coaching and leadership skills
