Sutter Health Supv, IS Training in Mather, California

Position Overview:

Collaborates with other departmental leadership to deliver professional training programs and services on behalf of Sutter Health and to build a high-performing Technical Learning Team. Creates and builds a training delivery program that is focused on delivering high quality training to ensure effective performance for our Operational Partners who leverage the Sutter EHR

The IS Learning Supervisor will have full scope of responsibility for all aspects of content development, strategy, coordination and delivery of the training all employees and staff who leverage the Sutter EHR, or other technical products developed and delivered by SHIS that require training efforts. Provides support by translating strategy into learning programs and curriculums as needed for new and transferring employees.

Manages staff and work that involves development and coordination of learning related to all Implementations, Upgrades, Enhancements, Production Changes, as well as conducting/ overseeing curriculum development standards, meetings, Super User Programs, and other training-related tasks. Oversees projects. Provides input to the department budget, then manages and monitors approved the budget.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Education, IT, Business Administration, or Healthcare Related Required Master's MBA, MA in Education Preferred Or equivalent education/experience.

Training, information systems, project management and/ or equivalent management experience as typically acquired in 7 to 10 years.

Two or more years of experience using and training related to specific application software or related healthcare integrated applications.

Supervisory or Lead experience desired.

Knowledge of MS Suite.

Understanding of the Healthcare industry, development and implementation of Healthcare related information systems, and the intricacies of detailed analysis.

Experience working in a matrixed environment, with a matrixed reporting relationship is highly desired.

Proven experience demonstrating effective teamwork, collaboration (both as a member and a leader) in the development, coordination, and implementation of large, complex projects, preferably in an information systems environment in a healthcare setting.

Experience interpreting/ working with workflow process diagrams is required.

Knowledge of formal Project Management methodologies is highly desired.

Extensive knowledge of Healthcare operations and structure, general requirements in an integrated delivery system and use of information system applications in the practicing Healthcare environment.

Possess knowledge of current technology and Healthcare trends and how it is best utilized in implementing clinical and/or business applications.

Leadership skills required.

Must have effective written and oral communication skills, good presentation and team building skills.

Manage and participate in multiple projects at the same time.

Manage project tasks according to a project plan.

Good organizational skills, be able to prioritize multiple tasks and objectives in a rapidly changing environment, communicate directives to team, and deliver quality products, support, and services.

Articulate technical and user needs concisely and easily understood by all.

Committed to providing exceptional customer service, manage against service level agreements, and respond to user needs in a prompt, courteous manner.

Positive attitude and be willing to learn new things.

Role modeling excellent training, writing, and mentoring skills are critical to this role

This position should require minimal supervision as the candidate will be a self-starter and take full responsibility for the projects assigned under the direction of the EHR Training Director.

In addition to excellent interpersonal skills, this position requires proficiency in at least two Epic modules, at least one being clinical, in order to provide guidance to the team in troubleshooting functionality, providing support and direction on the effective training related to the products.

Requires skill in identification of training needs as well as curriculum design, delivery and post-training assessment.
