TAD PGS, Inc. Material Handler in Marysville, Washington

We have an outstanding Contract position for aMaterial Handler to join a leading Company located in theMarysville, WA surrounding area.

Pay Rate: $20.00/hr

The duties of this job are to ensure that all of the materials used in the production of panels are controlled, verified and delivered to the production team in a timely manner as to support on time delivery to our plan dates. Material handlers are also responsible for the department hazardous waste control and disposition.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Verify, withdraw and deliver materials to the production line in a timely manner to support the production schedule board.

  • Ensure that materials are FIFO, track exposure units on temperature sensitive materials.

  • Must be able to ensure accurate inventory for the department.

  • Perform cycle counting of highly used materials.

  • Other duties include receiving and storing production materials, palletizing materials or product , etc ..

  • Handle the disposal of hazardous waste materials for the department.

  • Forklift operation is required (training provided).

  • May be required to be a certified forklift trainer.

  • Active participation in operational improvement activities.

  • Willing to cross train or transfer to other departments as needed.

  • Other task as needed and flexibility is key.

  • Willing to work overtime as needed. This may include weekends.

    Basic Hiring Criteria:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant material handling experience.

  • Safely and effectively operate a forklift (training provided).

  • Lift 50 + pounds frequently throughout the shift.

    Desired Qualifications:

  • Steady work history is preferred, manufacturing a plus.

  • Prior inventory control experience a plus.

  • Understand and follow procedures/practices.

  • Be flexible and able to react quickly to changing situations.

  • Able to learn and effectively apply all requirements established by the quality assurance team.

  • Have a sincere desire to work and be able to work independently or with a team to complete tasks in a timely manner.

  • Good basic math skills.

  • Good reading comprehension to follow work orders.

  • Legible handwriting/printing.

  • Ability to balance multiple tasks/priorities.
