Chervon North America Test & Facilities Coordinator in Marseilles, Illinois

Summary of Responsibilities
The Test & Facilities Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the daily operations within the Chervon North America Testing Grounds property in Marseilles, Illinois. The property is used for testing outdoor power equipment and power tools as well as for hosting training and customer meetings. This position will manage all site activities with a focus on product testing and meetings/events.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the scheduling, execution, documentation, and reporting of product tests
Manage inventory of product samples including receiving product from shippers, deploying samples for tests, and storing samples after tests
Groundskeeping and test site preparation. This may include mowing and irrigation, staging of products and materials required for tests, and documenting test conditions.
Manage the test queue, including regular review of test priorities, updating progress and completion times, and communicating delays or potential delays.
Maintaining supplies and equipment required for testing
Develop and maintain a preventative maintenance program for the facility. This includes all mechanical aspects of the building and outdoor equipment such as HVAC, electrical components, roof structure, fire suppression, plumbing, and all outdoor power equipment.
Work with Chervon employees that require needs and services at the Testing Grounds facility. This includes product testing, meeting setups, photo shoots, and any other requests where appropriate.
Properly maintain the interior and exterior of the facility ensuring that the building is cleaned on a routine basis.
Ensure that all building codes are met and a safety plan is enforced by all employees utilizing the property.
Able to provide proper shipping and receiving services where needed.
Maintain good working relationships with external vendors and internal departments. Always approachable and able to look at each challenge professionally and keep the organization’s best interests in mind.
Be first contact and responder for property during emergency situations.
Ability to occasionally work irregular or extended hours including nights, weekends and holidays as needed by the customer/organization.
Accepts any tasks or special projects initiated by direct supervisor when issued.
Supervisory Responsibility
The Test & Facilities Coordinator does not supervise any Full or Part Time Chervon staff. General supervision of all third-party vendors and their employees is required during services rendered.
Required Education and Experience:
High school diploma required; Associate degree or equivalent experience preferred
Minimum 3 years of experience in facility management
Experience working with complex machinery and proficient in mechanical repairs
Experience working with general diagnostic, electrical, and hydraulic systems
Experience in grounds management and ideally turf management
Working knowledge of OSHA, DOT, HAZMAT regulations
Prior experience with Microsoft Office applications for correspondence and report writing
Current or previous forklift certification. Must acquire employer supported certification within the first three months of employment.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well as part of a team as well as manage people who don’t directly report to you
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
Travel
This position requires up to 10% travel within northeast Illinois. Travel will primarily consist of visiting vendors and suppliers as well as traveling occasionally to our headquarters in Naperville, Illinois.
Salary Range:
$72,000 to $90,000
Physical Requirements
Ability to occasionally work irregular or extended hours including nights, weekends and holidays as needed by the customer/organization
Must be able to stand/walk for up to 8 hours
Must frequently lift up to 50 lbs.
Regular bending, lifting, stretching and reaching both below the waist and above the head
Requires adequate visual abilities to distinguish between colors, objects and effectively read standard text and written documents.
Ability to occasionally work in loud working environments.
