Work Schedule:.83 full-time equivalent; time off in the summer to be determined by the Medical Director. Traditionally Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-5:00 pm during the academic year.
Salary:Targeted prorated salary range: $64,500-$74,000
Travel:Less than 10%
Brief Statement of Duties
Brief Statement of Duties:Operate in concert with and under the direction of a licensed physician in the delivery, assessment and maintenance of quality medical care to Health Center patients as permitted by law.
Minimum Qualifications
Required Education:Master's Degree
Discipline / Degree Area:Nurse Practitioner/Physician's Assistant
Required Specialized Training/Certifications:Master's Degree prepared in approved Nurse Practitioner Program or a certification of completion of an approved Physician's Assistant Program.
Maintain current licensure in the state of Michigan.
Required Minimum Work Experience:Clinical work acquired through degree completion.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, or Attributes Required for Satisfactory Performance of the Position Duties:Knowledge of the information and techniques needed to diagnose and treat human injuries, diseases and deformities to include symptoms, treatment alternatives, drug properties and interactions and preventative health-care measures.
Excellent oral and written communication and comprehension skills.
Attention to detail.
Ability to document information concisely, completely and clearly.
Strong interpersonal orientation.
Ability and desire to attain additional knowledge and skills, where necessary.
Additional Desirable Qualifications
Additional Desirable Qualifications:Two years' experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant in a primary care setting.
Experience with electronic medical records systems.
Breadth of expertise in adult medical care.
Experience in providing medical guidance and immunization recommendations for international travel.
