The Product Manager, Consumables oversees the strategy and lifecycle management of capillary electrophoresis consumables and reagents, from ideation to end of life. This role gathers customer feedback, prioritizes customer needs, defines value propositions, sets prices, and ensures product quality. This role collaborates with research & development, sales, marketing, and operations on new products and existing portfolio management.

This role is part of the Product Management team and reports to the Director of CE & Consumables Product Management. This role can be located in either Marlborough, MA or Carlsbad, CA and will be an on-site position.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Market Analysis & Voice of Customer (VOC): Understand market indicators and gather customer feedback to drive new product concepts through in-person and virtual customer visits and frequent attendance at relevant industry tradeshows.

  • Customer Insight & Evaluation: Support and collaborate with Technical Product Managers on external customer evaluations to gain insights and test features.

  • Product Development & Collaboration: Own user needs, translate user personas, and collaborate with a cross-functional team including research & development, service, sales, applications, and other individuals in product management.

  • Competitive Intelligence, Positioning, & Marketing Support: Collect competitive intelligence and work in partnership with marketing to drive and hone product positioning through content creation.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • A bachelor's degree in science, marketing, or a related field is required.

  • At least 5 years of product management or marketing experience with knowledge of analytical products in the life sciences industry or 5 years of direct experience working with biopharmaceutical customers and understanding their needs is necessary.

  • Additionally, at least 5 years of presenting internally or externally to influence colleagues and customers is required.

  • Solid background in analytical instrumentation for life sciences and biopharmaceutical drug development.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

  • Must be able to travel at least 25% of the time to both customer and non-customer locations.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Capillary electrophoresis or liquid chromatography.

  • Technical expertise and confidence to engage with the scientific community at all levels.

The salary range for this role is $120,000.00-$135,000.00, per year. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
