*Our Marion, OH facility is looking for a Maintenance Technician. This position is responsible for performing machine maintenance and repair for all plant equipment. The technician will follow the direction of the Maintenance Manager and complete work orders in an efficient manner. *

 

*Wages start at $25.00/hr. and up depending on skill level and experience. *

Additional $1.25 shift differential for night shift.

*$1500 retention bonus is paid throughout the first year. *

 

Primary Responsibilities are, but are not limited to the following:

  • Installs and repairs mechanical components of industrial machinery and equipment, following manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, operations manuals, and other specifications, using hand tools and power tools.
  • Tests malfunctioning machinery, using test equipment, and discusses malfunction with machine operator and other maintenance workers to diagnose malfunction.
  • Analyze equipment problems and perform a root cause analysis.
  • Ability to follow safe work practices in accordance with company policies, OSHA regulations, and electrical code.
  • Work from elevated surfaces such as scaffolding, platform lifts, and ladders
  • Identify hazards and advise management of dangers associated with operating equipment in current condition.
  • Perform basic metal fabrication using a welder. 

Required Skills

An individual in this position must be able to learn and demonstrate the following skills;

  • Working knowledge of electronics and electrical systems
  • Good knowledge of industrial maintenance practices
  • Exceptional mechanical inclination
  • Knowledge of plant equipment utilized in folding carton manufacturing.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Use computer systems for basic tasks
