Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

The Maintenance Technician Level 5 or Robotics Technician is responsible for preventative, predictive, and routine maintenance tasks as well as troubleshooting electrical, electromechanical, robotics, and controls failures. This role involves performing advanced maintenance procedures on all plant equipment, including AC/DC control circuitry, programmable logic controllers, microprocessor controls, power distribution systems, computer hardware, minor mechanical adjustments, and equipment/part replacement.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct preventative, predictive, and routine maintenance tasks.

  • Troubleshoot electrical, electromechanical, robotics, and controls failures.

  • Work with AC/DC control circuitry , programmable logic controllers, microprocessor controls, and power distribution systems.

  • Handle computer hardware, minor mechanical adjustments, and equipment/part replacement.

  • Read and interpret machine manuals/schematics, electrical blueprints/schematics, and process control diagrams.

  • Write and troubleshoot ladder logic.

  • Troubleshoot and install 480V electric motor wiring and 120V and 24V DC motor control circuits.

  • Troubleshoot and program VFD’s, PLC’s, and HMI’s.

  • Interpret and understand fault readings on controllers, PLC’s, and variable frequency drives, and take appropriate corrective actions.

Essential Skills

  • 5-10 years of advanced troubleshooting of automated and robotic manufacturing equipment experience.

  • Ability to read and interpret machine manuals/schematics , electrical blueprints/schematics, and process control diagrams.

  • Experience in writing and troubleshooting ladder logic.

  • Experience troubleshooting and installing 480V electric motor wiring and 120V and 24V DC motor control circuits.

  • Experience troubleshooting and programming VFD’s, PLC’s, and HMI’s.

  • Working knowledge of RS Logix and/or C Logix as well as SLC/Micro Logix programming platforms.

  • Highly effective in interpreting and understanding fault readings on controllers, PLC’s, and variable frequency drives.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $68640.00 - $72800.00/yr.
