Unilever Sr. Finance Manager in Marina del Rey, California

SmartyPants is seeking a driven and talented Sr. Finance Manager to spearhead the company’s financial initiatives and accelerate value creation. In this role, you'll oversee budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes, ensuring accuracy and driving efficiency. He / She will play a critical role in providing key business insights and fostering cross-functional collaboration to drive decision making and optimize performance. What You’ll Do:

  • Oversee all aspects of the Budgeting, Forecasting, and Monthly reporting processes - ensure accuracy and predictability of results.

  • Play a lead role in developing and maintaining the planning calendar/processes for the annual Plan and monthly rolling forecast cycles – initiate, drive and implement improvements of processes; constantly look to invent and simplify.

  • Own the financial planning system Planful/Anaplan. Execute any changes or modifications needed as per the business requirements.

  • Partner with Accounting the monthly close process, analysis of results, reporting and forecasting.

  • Own the process and reporting automation with Power BI to gain efficiencies and faster insights with our Financial Reporting.

  • Support CFO & Cross Functional Teams by providing key business insights; quantify risks and opportunities in achieving Plan and explain variances to Plan for Total Company, Product and Customers financials. Create ad hoc analysis/sensitivities to understand potential outcomes.

  • Unlock the next level of Cost Savings by sanctioning cross company teams with a Planning, Measuring and Reporting process and cadence.

  • Lead beyond Budgeting and Planning with business partners – be a thought leader and partner with leaders across the business to drive better performance and decision-making.

  • Other job-related duties as requested

What You Have:

  • 4-year degree in Finance or Accounting, MBA or CPA preferred

  • 5-7 years of proven Finance experience

  • Advanced in Excel, PowerPoint, ERP platforms and reporting

  • Financial modeling tools proficiency

  • Knowledge to any financial planning and reporting is needed

  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral

  • Energy, passion and a strong desire to build a transformational brand in today’s marketplace

  • Ability to change information into insights for actionable growth

  • A true “Team Player” who can work cross-functionally to achieve results

  • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to interact with all personality types and behaviors; flexibility

  • Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure, fast paced environment

  • The pay range for this position is $110,000 to $145,000. SmartyPants Vitamins takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs. This position is bonus eligible. SmartyPants Vitamins employees are eligible to participate in our benefits plan. Should the employee choose to participate, they can choose from a range of benefits to include, but is not limited to, health insurance, retirement savings benefits, life insurance and disability benefits, parental leave, sick leave, paid vacation and holidays. Any coverage for health insurance will be in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans and associated governing plan documents.
