The individual will also be a contributing team member in terms of helping to drive the growth engine for 3M. They may lead complex/critical processes in support of the Procurement Policy. They should follow basic Sourcing guidelines to monitor, measure, improve, analyze and implement Procurement processes and customer requirements in completing assignments. They also may lead implementation projects and provide direction to focused teams. Here, you will make an impact by:Using Sourcing and Corporate analysis tools and applications to support Global Category Teams' sourcing activities and projects.Developing and expanding your knowledge of strategic analysis, supplier and market analysis, benchmarking and sourcing effectiveness.Representing Procurement on business unit and internal Sourcing cross-functional teams.Increasing knowledge of Global Procurement strategies and activities to meet specific 3M internal business unit requirements through assigned activities and projects.Identifying opportunities for process improvements that improve cost and service through analysis of sourcing information and metrics.Your Skills and ExpertiseTo set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Currently pursuing or possesses a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university (verified prior to start)Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Current cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scalePreviously completed an internship/co-op with 3M or another manufacturing companyExperience with business processes and systems functionality within Procurement and/or SourcingIntermediate (graphs, sorting data, basic formulas) proficiency with MS ExcelExperience working with cross-functional teamsIntermediate (hyperlinks, animation, org charts) proficiency with MS PowerPointExperience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)Work location:Work Your Way Eligible (Employee choice to work remote, on site, or hybrid)Maplewood, MNTravel: May include up to [5% domestic/international]Relocation Assistance: May be authorizedMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).Supporting Your Well-being3M offers many programs to help you live your best life both physically and financially.
