UMPhysicians Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - Urology (Maplewood, MN) in Maplewood, Minnesota

Join us on a mission to advance medicine. University of Minnesota Physicians seeks a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our Urology group. University of Minnesota Urology providers are national leaders in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of diseases and conditions of the urinary system. Using the latest treatment techniques, University of Minnesota providers deliver both general and specialized Urology care for both men and women. Join our practice of more than 20 Urology surgeons and 11 Advanced Practice Providers at the forefront of our specialty as we continue to lead innovative and pioneering efforts in urologic care. In This Role, You Will: Perform history and physicals, comprehensive review of systems, and thorough chart reviews as well as prescribing medications/ therapies, ordering diagnostic tests, and performing minor therapeutic procedures. Function at a very high level of autonomy. Though independent, this candidate will resource close MD availability in decision-making. Practice will be predominantly outpatient and focused on general Urology. Clinic will be in Maplewood and primarily in-person with virtual options in the future. There may be an evolving inpatient role up to 25%. Anticipated hospital responsibilities could include post-operative care, managing an inpatient Urology cohort and possible hospital consults in the East Metropolitan area. Schedule: Full time, 1.0 FTE Enjoy the Day shift with hours between 7AM -5PM Monday - Friday. With appropriate notification, specific hours/days may be adjusted to patient, clinic and support staff needs. Potential of one Saturday per month in the future. Call We're Looking For a PA or NP Who Is: A graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or formal Adult Nurse Practitioner training program. Eligible or is certified through NCCPA, ANCC or AANP. Licensed or eligible to acquire a license and prescriptive authority through the MN Board of Medical Practice (PAs) or MN APRN license or eligible to acquire a license and prescriptive authority through MN Board of Nursing (NP's). Able to meet threshold criteria/qualifications for credentialing and privileges.
