Overview
M Health Fairview is looking for a Health Unit Coordinator/Monitor Technician at St. John’s Hospital in Maplewood, MN. This position is 56 hours per two weeks on the Day shift, 8 hour shifts, every other weekend, and is eligible for benefits such as: PTO, dental/medical insurance, and more. About this Position:
Observes cardiac monitors, detecting and reporting abnormalities that may occur in the patients EKG status.
Responsibilities Job Description
Maintains knowledge of, and complies with, all relevant laws, regulations and policies, procedures and standards
Actively participates in creating and implementing improvements to achieve clinical, satisfaction and/or efficiency outcomes
Observes the cardiac monitors and analyzes, records, and documents the rhythm status for each monitored patient
Communicates information regarding rhythm status, problems, concerns, etc to the RN, physicians, and other members of the interdisciplinary team, as appropriate
Participates in meeting unit goals and objectives
Performs clerical duties as delegated by the Clinical Director or Charge Nurse
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Less than 1 year experience of Transcription/Unit Coordinator experience required
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1 year EKG/Monitor Tech experience

Computer Skills Basic: Ability to use a computer and applications that are associated with performing basic work tasks (use a mouse, navigate in Windows, Outlook, etc)
