UMPhysicians Electrophysiology Advanced Practice Provider in Maplewood, Minnesota

University of Minnesota Physicians is seeking a Certified Nurse Practitioner or a Certified Physician Assistant to join our cardiology practicein our East Region including Maplewood and Woodbury. The positionwill provide patients with expert patient care and coordination of services. They will assist the practice to improve patient satisfaction and enhance the quality of care provided to patients through increased access and coordinated services. In This Role, You Will: Join a multidisciplinary team of 20Cardiologists (3 Electrophysiologists) and 9Advanced Practice Providers (3 EP dedicated) The PA or NPprovides and coordinates care for adults with cardiac diseases throughout the course of evaluation and treatment. Provides and manages care to adult patients for a wide range of services in EP including rhythm management, ablations, devices, and Watchman Provides and coordinates continuity of care of pre and post procedure clinic follow up. This includes follow-up, providing information to referring physicians and institutions, and patient /family education. Performs inpatient consults, pre & post procedure care, clinic follow up visits, cardioversions and ILR implants (pending training & credentialing) This individual must show commitment to exemplary patient care.. Manages patient care through appropriate use of available resources. Demonstrates ability to provide care or service adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level of population served. Fully integrated Electronic Medical Record (EPIC). Your Schedule: 1.0 FTE Position is a hybrid of inpatient and clinic. We're Looking For a PA or NP Who Is: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and formal Adult Nurse Practitioner training program or a graduate of an accredited Physician's Assistant program. Current MN RN license and be approved or eligible by the Minnesota Board of Nursing for prescription writing privileges or a current PA license with prescriptive authority through the MN Board of Medical Practice. Certified through ANCC/AANP or eligible for ANCC/AANP national exam or through the NCCPA and meet threshold criteria/qualificationsfor Credentialing and Privileges.
