Boston Scientific Sr Process Engineer in Maple Grove, Minnesota

About the role: We are looking for an experienced, driven individual to join our Maple Grove Process Development Team. You will be part of a high performing team, working cross functionally to deploy technology solutions for new products while influencing specifications for manufacturability. Your responsibilities will include: Assessing process capabilities, prioritizing process improvement opportunities to innovate and implement process improvements on platform or derivative projects. Appling technical knowledge to innovate, design, and develop processes, procedures, tooling and/or automation. Working with internal & external equipment developers to assess new technologies and applicability. Planning, organizing, and conducting all aspects of technical reviews. Training and/or providing work direction to technicians and engineers and may train manufacturing personnel when required as part of a validation. Providing Design for Manufacturability (DFM) input to the engineering print package. Contributing ideas to or generates Intellectual Property submissions. May serve as a core team member or extended team member on new product projects. Overseeing development builds associated with the project using special work requests. Executing the functional deliverables associated with the PDP/TDP, Project Management, and Quality Systems. Required Qualifications: 3- 5 years of experience Bachelor's degree in engineering or relevant field Strong mechanical aptitude. Preferred Qualifications Fixture and equipment design experience. Demonstrated understanding of problem solving and root cause investigations. Proficiency with maypole and rotary braiding technology. Expertise in Operations or New Product Development Experience with Process Verification and Validation. Medical device or other regulated industry experience. Shaft / catheter design and processing knowledge. Demonstrated understanding and usage of statistics to drive improvements. Knowledge and experience with the assembly of composite materials. Must be open to travel of up to 10% of their time.
