As an Electrician in Manistee, this person will be responsible for:

• Maintain a safe working environment by understanding, executing, and supporting the company's HES&S policies and procedures. Support a proactive safety mindset by participating in department assessments and meetings and by encouraging employees and contractors to identify, correct, and coach one another in safety.
• Read and interpret electrical blueprints and schematics to assist with troubleshooting of existing or installation of new electrical systems, providing mark-ups to deliver "as-built" details when needed.
• Work together with the facility's electrical team to provide electrical and instrumentation support to meet plant production needs.
• Perform the inspection, testing, calibration, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial instrumentation programmable logic controllers (PLC's), variable frequency drives (VFD's), and related equipment.
• Be familiar with the facility's electrical and instrumentation systems as they relate to equipment functionality and production processes.
• Safely utilizes the tools and equipment required to perform electrical tasks including, but not limited to conduit benders, threading machines, hand and power tools, drill press, rigging, scissor lifts, articulating lifts, forklifts, etc.
• May perform routine tasks such as lubrication, cleaning, and inspection of industrial equipment.
• Keep work area, tools, and equipment clean, neat, orderly, and in good repair.
• Perform other work of a related nature within the job classification.
• Usually works with minimal supervisor oversight, may occasionally be asked to direct the work of others, and will assist with the training of employees with lesser skills.
• Frequently works with employees of other classifications and occasionally perform work of a lesser skill in other maintenance classifications.
• Completing all other duties as assigned

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• High school diploma or equivalent, required
• 3-5 years of experience in an Electrician role
• Must hold a journeyman card
• Basic computer skills, preferred

Additional Details:

• Pay for this position is $34.84
• Normal hours are Monday-Friday 7:00 am -- 3:00 pm, however, employees in this position must be available to work any shift, as needed
