Amazon Internal Communication and Engagement Lead, Training and Engagement Team in Manila, Philippines
Description
Amazon is seeking for an Internal Communication and Branding Lead to join the growing, fast-paced Finance Operations team at Manila. You should be passionate about developing insights, setting high standards, providing information that enables dynamic decision-making. Your expertise, strong decision making, and focus on our core operational inputs will make you a critical partner to operations leaders as you help them prioritize initiatives, identify gaps in process and performance, and remove barriers to execution. You should be excited about working with Leadership and Operations teams.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Works closely with managers and employees to support engagement, productivity and retention
Strategically plans for yearly and periodic activities for engagement and communications effort
Considers the costs of planned programs and showcases creativity by working within budget.
Delivers and develops effective new hire induction programs
Leads and owns written communications to stakeholders, leadership and the whole Finance Operations. Including but not limited to creation of Newsletters, teasers and email announcements.
Writes messages for staffing and leaders to convey changes, issues, successes and stories related to each process.
Builds collaborative relationships with other functions, operations and stakeholders to gather information, feedback and earn support.
Drives participation and team’s connections’ score from people across a wide variety of cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds
Resolves issues independently and drive them to closure with minimal supervision
Designs and executes ideas to familiarize the audience with Amazon’s Brand
Develops creative concept and campaigns from planning to completion stage to strengthen brand awareness.
Hosts monthly, quarterly and annual events or programs for FinOps.
Partners with Manila leaders and scale up engagement mechanism that influences job satisfaction to enrich connections scores covering 400-500 employees
Leads diversity, equity and inclusivity efforts to promote sense of belonging and build an inclusive workplace for FinOps Manila
Rolls up his/her leads to support other function of the training and engagement team
Reports to the Training and Engagement Manager
Working Conditions:
·Normal Office Environment
·Work in shifting schedules including night shift. Schedule flexibility is a requirement for this role for business needs.

Key job responsibilities
The Internal Communication and Engagement Lead role is critical in owning and driving engagement efforts (including major events like Reward and Recognition, Senior Leadership Visits, All Hands & Town halls and annual site events) for a site where 30% of the population are foreigners and bilinguals. The role scales up engagement mechanism that influences job satisfaction to enrich connections scores covering 500 employees. She/he leads DEI efforts and collaborates with affinity leaders (WIFI/LiFT) across support centers to promote sense of belonging and build an inclusive workplace for FinOps Manila. The role strategically creates unified and consistent communications within the organizations , and pushes efforts to create a distinct identity and footprint for FinOps Manila in Amazon worldwide and in the Philippines. FinOps Manila needs to hire someone who is an expert of these fields and who will focus in scaling up projects and initiatives for the site.
Basic Qualifications
Must be a graduate of Psychology, Mass Communications, Journalism or equivalent
At least 2 years experience handling Employee Engagement
Good people handling skills, experience in handling a team is a plus
Excellent communication skills, in writing and public speaking.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, able to juggle and prioritize tasks simultaneously while delivering on commitments.
Experience in event planning and management is a must
Strong team, interpersonal and persuasion skills, enabling individual to establish influential partnerships working with peers, senior leaders and across organizational lines.
Skilled in MS Excel, Word, SharePoint & PowerPoint; curious about new learning technologies.
Candidate must be willing to work in Pasay City. MOA area.
Preferred Qualifications
· Previous people leadership/management experience/ operations experience
· Demonstrated passion for building positive, engaged work environments for employees and leaders.
· Successful record of creating, improving and executing programs at scale, ability to drive and measure program effectiveness and high levels of customer satisfaction.
· Experience identifying and resolving complex issues, assumes leadership roles in unfamiliar or ambiguous circumstances - solid sense of accountability, high-quality judgment and sound decision-making.
· Comfortable in a fast-paced environment, flexible, able to change direction quickly and in leading through both ambiguity and constant change
· Ability to handle confidential information and escalate issues when appropriate.
· Strong bias for action, ability to independently deliver results while working remotely with limited direction.
