The Senior Credit Analyst position is responsible for supporting the Risk and Credit Finance Manager in analyzing, monitoring & managing Agents' Credit Risk & Sovereign risk, Collection of Accounts Receivable, and Credit Administration. The job will involve liaison with regional colleagues and Agent partners, and will work closely with Business Development, Operations, Accounting, Legal and Agent Support teams supporting the Asia Pacific region. The goal is to maximize business opportunities and increase cash flow, while minimizing risk exposure. This position also involves participation in special projects of the global Risk & Credit Finance team as well as the local Business office.

Role Responsibilities

  • Collection of accounts receivable from Agents in Asia Pacific countries to maximize cash flow to Western Union and minimize credit loss & write-offs.

  • Reconciliation of agent’s account balances (payments and receivables).

  • Daily limit management.

  • Credit Underwriting - analysis & management of credit risk of Agents & Sovereign risk.

  • Credit Administration & preparation of regional credit reports.

  • Resolves complex Credit issues and makes sound Credit decision independently.

  • Participation in special projects assigned (ad hoc).

Role Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Economics, or related course is required.

  • At least 3 to 5 years’ experience as Credit analyst or related function.

  • Experience in the collection of accounts receivable, analysis of financial statements and credit review is preferred.

  • Experience in the fintech/ financial services/ banking industry will be an advantage.

  • Experience in Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) will be an advantage.

  • Experience in problem solving and decision-making bearing in mind business implications and/or financial risks.

  • Proficiency on MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Role will be based in Taguig City, Philippines for APAC Region.
