  • You will provide track design services and support the technical leadership of UK and International track design projects at all stages from early feasibility through development of the selected option and detailed design.

  • Reporting to the local Track Team Leader, you will act as Lead Track Designer supervising, mentoring and directing junior staff and acting as design reviewer/checker.

  • You will prepare track designs & models/drawings, technical reports, specifications, alignment criteria, providing feedback and contributing to the development of design process and tools.

  • You will support and participate in client advisory roles

You will work on exciting and inspiring projects for a variety of Infrastructure Owners (such as Network Rail and High Speed 2), National and Local Governments, Public and Private Sector Industry Groups.

YOUR TEAM

As part of a world-leading engineering professional services consultancy, you and your team will benefit from close collaboration with our other engineers in Rail Systems and Civils, surveyors, environmental experts, architects, planners, and construction management professionals. Together, you will provide engineering solutions and services to transform the built environment while respecting and restoring the natural environment.

Your technical expertise and guidance will help shape the future of the Rail, reinforcing our “best in class” reputation by delivering a wide variety of complex and technically challenging projects around the country and overseas.

Whatever your own level of experience, you will gain access to world-class technical experts in the Track discipline, able to provide you with a clear insight into the first principles of track engineering and a sound interpretation of the Standards guiding your work.

  • Engineering degree or equivalent

  • Professional accreditation (CEng or working towards this)

  • Membership of an appropriate engineering body (e.g. PWI, ICE, IMechE, EA).
