Description
Innovative, technology company seeks a Staff Accountant with proven GAAP experience. The responsibilities for this Staff Accountant role consist of handling general accounting operations such as: assisting with accounts payable/receivable activities, processing cash receipts, coordinating annual audit and SOX compliance, tracking and recording credit card transactions, and the month end close process. The ideal candidate for this role should have great problem-solving skills, excellent time-management and strong budgeting/forecasting abilities that will ensure revenue generation.
Everyday Responsibilities
· Support daily accounting functions
· Month End/Year End Close
· Prepare monthly financial statements
· Review employee travel expenses
· Maintain the general ledger
· Assisting with vendor and customer inquiries
· Process accounting adjustments
· Maintain capital assets
· Ad hoc special projects as requested
Requirements
The ideal Staff Accountant will have a Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance.
Other requirements for the Staff Accountant role include and are not limited to:
· 2+ years G/L experience
· Proficient in Microsoft Office, Strong Excel
· Proven GAAP knowledge
· Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
